Our company is represented at the International Energy
Advisory Council, Geneva (“IEAC”) –
a non-governmental, non-profit organisation whose mission
is “to provide strategic pro bono analysis and
guidance to governments around the world to promote
a better understanding of geo-strategic energy security
and supply issues between private enterprises and governments”.
In facilitating this mission the IEAC provides advice
to governments as it affects energy related activities.
Council members and advisors are encouraged to promote
active involvement with the Council with their respective
governments. Council members and advisor’s roles
include analysis of energy related issues and geopolitical,
economic and social issues as it affects energy supply
and security, and roundtable discussions.
Council Members reside from the following
countries: Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, India, Indonesia,
Iran, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Korea, Libya, Malaysia,
Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa,
Spain, Taiwan, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States,
and Venezuela. Council Members include Frank Chapman,
the CEO of British Gas, Reinier Zwitserloot, the CEO
of Wintershall (Germany).
Vladimir Matias in his capacity as Director of Program
for Russia provides a link between the Council and its
Russian members. In this capacity he facilitates e.g.
presentations of Russian members at the annual Council
meetings. In the past, the Council has held meetings
in Washington, London, Yalta, Cairo and Cape Town.
ACP is represented at the Association
of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). AIPN
is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 to enhance
the professionalism of cross-border energy negotiators
throughout the world. The association is now comprised
of approximately 1900 members in over 80 countries,
representing numerous international oil and gas companies,
host governments, law firms and academic institutions.
Moscow Mining Club is an informal gathering of professionals
in the Russian mining industry founded by White &
Case. ACP regularly attends those gatherings where we
exchange our views and experience with other industry
professionals.
Formerly known as "CIS Oil & Gas Market",
the analytical magazine Oil
& Gas Vertical publishes analytical reviews
of all conferences and forums co-organized in partnership
with Information
& Investment Publishing House. Jointly they
have also organized an Expert
Council where ACP is also presented as the Council member.
